Blind, this summer

We’ve been gifted with 'Blind, this summer', the hotly anticipated EP by rapper, producer and director kadiata. A project full to the brim with a playfulness and a nonchalance that makes kadiata's sound so enticing. As a producer, kadiata has lent his sound to tracks by Che Lingo, Miraa May and Jesse James Solomon, but he shines brightest as a full-fledged. He's a man with a penchant for anthemic hooks, eyebrow raising lyrics and an all round original approach to UK Rap.

The bubbly 'Bebigerl' saw early support from Kenny Allstar, Seani B, DJ Target and gave us a taster of the EP: infectious choruses, dextrous flows, barefaced innuendo and colourful melodies all revolving around themes of flirtation and heartbreak.

'Blind, this summer' confidently blends the best tropes of contemporary rap with elements of garage and even indie pop. It's an exhibition of the enigmatic dynamism that makes kadiata one of the most creative figures in London's rap scene. kadiata's pop sensibilities are truly on show throughout the EP where catchy hooks are paired with glossy production from New Machine, regular collaborator Sokari, Michelin Shin and kadiata himself.

With a sold-out headline show at The Waiting Room and a second date added due to demand, the buzz that has been growing for a few years now is about to be cranked up a notch. It's kadiata's time, you should pay attention.
