For those who are just getting to know you, how would you describe the essence of Dozenthewav as an artist duo?

Dozenthewav is a 26 year old artist hailing from Milton Keynes and London Native , his sound is your usual UK trap but calling influences from not only Rap artists Lil Wayne and Skepta but Rock too.

How did Dozenthewav form, and what was the motivation behind joining forces to create music together?

Dozenthewav is a play my original and hold a platitude of why 12 is important to me and reoccurring in my life.

SVGE BOYZ is a collective that plays a significant role in your career. How did your journey with the collective begin, and how does being part of this collective shape your musical identity?

SVGE BOYZ formed in Milton Keynes Dozen curated the collective over time, Dozen and Stony met in Milton Keynes and studied production together and had interest for pursuing music.

Your latest single, “Gadaffi,” produced by Stony Blue, is already making waves. What inspired the concept of this track, and how does it reflect your current sound and themes?

I'd say because our collective showcases a lot of variety and diversity in sounds and style it allows for a new approach but still communicating our universally. There is no limitation we take inspiration from everything to rock , jazz , RnB every medium.

How did the collaboration with Stony Blue come about, and how does his production elevate the track’s energy?

gadaffi was a more aggressive approach in rap for me and wanted to have fun with my pen and little, the beat is very hard hitting Stony is like UK Southside, i didn't want too much either no auto tune just rap.

“BYTHEDOZEN” is your upcoming album. Can you share some insights into the concept and themes behind the album? What kind of narrative are you aiming to tell through this project?

Well seeing as Stony is executive producer on BYTHEDOZEN he helps bring forth the music in the areas of frequency and mixing that I personally find long to tap into at the moment so big appreciation,

helps bring out the vision we share as artists.

How does the production on “BYTHEDOZEN” compare to previous projects you've worked on? What are some standout moments or tracks that fans should be excited for?

BYTHEDOZEN is cinematic and ideally can be consumed the whole tape entirely 30 Mins or less and will honestly take you on a journey , i'm excited to release this as it has some my favourite verses and flows so from ; ItsCube , Siren (formerly known as BJ Blacc) &  Stony Blue. Has a little bit of everything, I'm just going off giving life in my perspective.

You've been hosting shows at @newrageforever. How would you describe the live show experience in comparison to the studio recording process?

BYTHEDOZEN will be me going deeper in the Trap experiment and not be like playlist like my last project Capricorn Rulez but more Alternative, Minimal but shocking , like the cover art just red square 🟥

What can fans expect from your live shows in terms of energy, stage presence, and interaction?

Studio Sessions are definitely more controlled and come often I guess so makes sense but the stage is nothing new to me is something i look forward too aswell , I've got a new event coming out now and more lined up soon with NEWRAGE. Fans can expect organic energy how i'm feeling that night they will know definitely but it's more than just the performance , I owe it to supporters so want to make sure the leave feeling enlightened you feel me
