1984
This new track from Manchester Based Cigarettes and Scratchcards '1984' is a great look at society. It fits in with the alt view of The Pit in a rather extreme way but nonetheless an intriguing look at society. The lyric 'Big Brother is always watching' that is complimented by a haunting synth. A seasoned artist in the game he has worked with the likes of Sox Tremz, Grim Sickers + more.
The video reflects the unique viewpoint of the track. Clearly taking inspiration from George Orwell's 1984, Scratchcards asks us to look at our current society. The constant transitions feel like you're on an acid trip which ties into the feeling of seeing the world through a different lense. We look forward to seeing more from Cigarettes and Scratchcards!
