Through the influence of his peers and street life, artist Kwazi Cort found a passion in music as a way to escape from the harsh realities of life. Inspired by the business mentality of Jay-Z and raw passion of Tupac, Kwazi took his love for the art to a new level by dissecting the craft into its raw state and perfecting it. From critically listening to his favourite MC’s to battling local rappers, he had found his calling.

Having overcome his hardships of losing childhood friends to the gang and drug lifestyle, Kwazi Cort is an example of a statistic - “the one that got away”. Using his hustler mentality, he has come out the other side as a positive role model for the South West London community he calls home.

Early in his career, regular visits to Camden Town opened Cort’s eyes to a new thriving community. For the first time Kwazi was exposed to Rock music.  His new found love for the genre and artists such as Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix allowed him to release deeper emotions that he couldn’t quite do just through rap alone.  His combination of the two passions gave birth to the synergy of his Rock ‘N’ Rap.

With a healthy track record of single releases, music videos and freestyles, Kwazi Cort is ready to take the world by storm with a fresh new perspective.
